Flue gas cleaning and cleaning of fabric filters used in cleaning of exhaust air

One of the areas in which the adsorption properties of natural zeolites are used is flue gas cleaning and sulphur compound ecology. Sulphur compounds are formed during the cellulose production process and may escape into the atmosphere, where they are a source of pollution. These are primarily sulphur compounds such as hydrogen sulphide, methyl mercaptan, and sulphur dioxide.

In the process of flue gas cleaning zeolite is effective in solving the following problems

• sorption of heavy metals
• gas dehydration (drying)
• sorption of dioxins and furans
• sorption of acetylene, carbon dioxide, sulfur compounds
• air separation
• ammonia gas sorption
• absorption of moisture caused by fluctuating operating temperatures in incinerators
